Summer time is more than just sand and sunshine. Summer is
also a time for learning. That is why we summer school, or as some people
call it, year-round homeschooling. Homeschooling during the summer doesn’t necessarily
mean you have to keep up the same speed that you have been going throughout the
rest of the year. It also doesn’t mean you have to use an actual curriculum.
Yes, you can use your regular curriculum that you have been using the rest of
the year, or you could also use an online summer school program. You can also just
allow your kids to unschool by reading, taking field trips, and/or doing an
interest led unit study. There really is no reason, to stop your homeschool,
just because it is summer time ;)
