For those of you who celebrate Halloween, seventh grade is a
time where your child may or may not still want to participate in themed
lessons, going trick or treating, etc. Of course, there are those, myself
and children included, who really enjoy the festivities, no matter how old we
get. So, if you are like me and like to
add the holidays into your homeschool, but have those children, who have either have out grown the idea or simply think it is not “cool”, you can still keep
the fun of Halloween in your homeschool lessons. How? Well, you just need to be
creative. For example:
Happy
Halloween Everyone! Well, almost ;)- Science- Make slime
- History- Learn about the history of Halloween
- Language Arts- creative essay writing (let them create a spooky story)
- Field trip- a Corn maze, etc., etc., etc.!
